It was a glorious morning which brought the crowds out and gave us our most successful Car Boot Sale to date. With nearly 55 vehicles and a constant stream of buyers I’m sure that most people went home very satisfied.

Thanks must also go to all of the Tockwith Show committee who gave up their time to set up, run and then tidy up the Car Boot Sale site.  Special thanks to the girls cooking the bacon and sausages. A permanent queue for the hot sandwiches kept them busy all morning! And finally thanks to Tancred Farm Shop for providing the cooking equipment and the excellent bacon and sausages.

Last night, we sold out of our allocation of early bird tickets (adult tickets with 25% off). Huge thanks to everyone who bought them, it really helps the charity out. We’ve already sold significantly more tickets than we did right up until the festival last year, and the majority of those were in the weeks preceding the festival, so with 3 weeks to go still we’re absolutely delighted that our event has proved so popular.

Saying that, we’re not surprised! With the improvements to everything this year. We have some great bands including headliner Fossil Collective, fresh off the back of a stunning debut album and currently selling out dates on their UK tour (they’re destined for the USA shortly after Tockwith). As well as the likes of Leeds based folk outfit Jacobean Ruff, the Gary Stewart Band and Wilful Missing. Along with, Tockwith Festival favourites Raisers and Funky Junk Trio, who will be bringing proceedings to a close after the headliners have finished.

And the beer, wow! We have over 40 real ales this year and more cider than you could possibly wish for! Check out the drink page which we’ve recently updated with a large section of our beer list, the rest, along with the ciders is coming shortly.

So on top of all this, with great food including a Hog Roast and freshly made pizza, workshops to keep the kids occupied and entertainers roaming the site, Tockwith Festival 2013 is set to be an unmissable date in your diary.

Gates open at 7am for sellers and at 8am for buyers.

The committee behind one of the region’s most successful village agricultural shows has said farewell to two of its longest serving members.

Also there is the application form for Friends Membership at last year’s rate until 31^st March 2013.
